Save Money on Adventures!

Now, this is going to be a little bit different than my previous post, but I know that along with treasure hunting and adventures, we ALL like to save money. There are many ways to do this, but one company has really disrupted the couponing world, and that is Ibotta.
When I was living in Denver (they are a Denver based company) my buddy had just started working for Ibotta, and to be honest, I gave it no thought. I really just didn't care. Sounded kind of cool, but I guess I was just being naive. Well, fast-forward to 2021 and they have made a huge impact in coupon and bargain shopping today!
So, how does it work? To start off, this is a FREE app! I can say that again. This is a FREE app that gives cash back on your purchases. No longer must you cut out coupons and give them to the cashier. Instead, you can just open the app, click on the grocery store you are going to, and see what deals they have available.
Say that you find a coupon for $.25 off apples. Click on the add button and when you are done shopping, you will find the "Redeem" button down at the bottom. You will click on that, take a photo of your physical receipt, and boom! You're done! Within 48 hours you will receive cash back on your purchases.
Do you only do online purchases, say through Instacart? No problem! Through the Ibotta app, you can click on "Online Shopping" , find Instacart, follow the link to the Instacart app, and shop like you normally would. From there, you will receive an email confirming your cash back rewards.
But that's not all. If you are shopping without your wallet or purse, Ibotta has a pretty cool gift card feature as well. After adding your debit card info, you can put money onto a virtual gift card to say, ALDI. Next time you shop at ALDI, you can just open your Ibotta app and use the gift card. Pretty neat, huh?
But this app isn't only for grocery stores. The cool thing is, you can load up and save on your outdoor, camping, and travel equipment too! Other stores include Lowe's, REI, Cabela's, Backcountry, Hotels.com, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, Academy Sports + Outdoors, RV Share, and the list goes on.
